Personal Remote Backup

Whether you’re a PC power user or just some kid who uses the computer for writing up assignments, offsite (remote) backup for your PC is always a good idea. Imagine working on an assignment only to have your hard drive crash the night before, and in most cases technological problems aren’t considered a viable excuse to hand work in. Remote backup is the safest, easiest, and simply best way to store our personal files in an offsite location, and can be very cheap, or even free in some cases.

Backup data remotely with Jungle Disk
Jungle Disk is a great little application that lets you easily backup files to Amazon.com’s servers via their Amazon S3 storage service. It’s compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux and provides an affordable way to backup data offsite for extra security.
Mozy as a remote backup solution (Personal Use)
Mozy has been a leader in the online remote personal back up solutions arena for a few years now, and there is good reason too.
