RAID

What is RAID 1?
RAID 1 is a Redundant Array of Inexpensive disks that uses a data management format known as Mirroring. A mirror is an exact replica of a piece of data created on one or more volume. This data is then stored as a “mirror-image” on the number of disks that are aligned in this configuration.
What is RAID 0?
RAID 0 is a name for a specialized type of RAID array (Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks) which is used differently than most of the original types of arrays. RAID 0 uses striped volumes, which are also called a stripe set in order to backup data in such a way as to partition it between drives equally.
